MODALITIES
Psychotherapy is most commonly known as therapy that supports individuals with concrete feedback as they work through environmental (work, school, family) or personal (sadness, anxiety, stress) problems. Counseling is empathic by nature: talk, conversation, and reflection are all part of counseling process.
Polarity draws from the logic of many systems (including the Ayurvedic chakra system) and integrates emotion, thought and physical sensation. A variety of touch stimulates and balances the body's energy fields and pathways. Deep pressure, gentle holding, rocking and even verbal dialogue assist clients to harmonize physical, mental and emotional experience.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy fortifies the central nervous system, focusing on the membranes and fluid which coat, protect and flow around the spinal cord and brain. This subtle work facilitates the system’s own healing intelligence. Guided by the practitioner’s gentle contact, clients achieve balance and restore energy.
Realization Process is rooted in the ancient philosophies and practices of Buddhism and Hinduism. Combined with relational and somatic psychotherapy, it is applied as Spiritual Psychotherapy. Developed by Judith Blackstone, Realization Process a form of embodiment meditation that uses awareness-heightening exercises in order to deepen self-contact and increase the clarity of connection with others.
Reiki directs healing energy through light touch, on or off the body, assisted by meditative techniques.
